Chuck's Review of Rumjungle:
Located inside Mandalay Bay, Rumjungle is one of most enduring clubs on the Strip. It is continually popular, and there is always a good crowd on the weekends. The club is a good size, and there are many places in which you can be part of the crowd or escape into a corner. Rumjungle attracts all sorts of people, both locals and tourists, and generally caters to a more upscale clientele.

The exterior of the club has a wall of fire that seems to fascinate everyone as they wait to get inside. Once inside, however, the wall of fire turns into walls of water that cascade down throughout the club. This mix of fire and water are interesting themes that create unique spaces in this club, and certainly get our senses going.

There are other elements as well, including the biggest supply of rum to be found anywhere in Vegas—stacked to the ceiling, it seems that size does matter. There are also go-go dancers, and on occasion, aerial acts that fly through and over the audience.

Rumjungle is not going to be one of your cheaper club experiences. The cover price is $20, and if you plan on sitting down, all of the seating comes with a price as well. The better the seats and the more separate the section, the more expensive it is. Hopefully, you won’t be sitting much anyway. There is a good dance floor, but it does get crowded quickly.

The dress code is a bit cumbersome. There are lots of ways in which you can be excluded from entering the club. No tennis shoes, work boots; ripped, baggy, or oversized jeans; no tank tops, sports attire, jogging suits, jerseys, shorts, sandals, or hats. Don’t give the club an excuse to deny your entrance. They want an upscale crowd.

The club plays a wide range of music: Techno, Top 40, and Latin house music, Caribbean, and African beats as well.

Rumjungle is a good club, and one that you want to experience if you can.
